Well it's been a bit quiet the last year or so apart from Steamfest 2020 early on before the major lockdowns.
And once again in 2021 after the worst of the virus in Tasmania, Steamfest again. And then the Franklin House fair had a few Steampunk folk in attendance .
Maybe the Evandale Penny Farthing races would be a good day for a Steampunk outing (cancelled for 2021 but should be back in 2022 for their 40th anniversary) ?
The plans (quite tentative so far) for George Town are for a Steampunk Promenade in Regent Square, maybe a brass band, a folk band and a punk band, tea and tea pot racing and promenading in splendid steampunk costumes. Whether this happens in 2021 or 2022 depends on how the world goes, Steamfest's covid-safe outdoor event went off with out any reported problems, so gives one a bit of hope for sooner rather than later...
